Whoever you are, we want you to feel confident being yourself in your team at work.This is a hybrid position, combining the best of both worlds - working from home and spending time in our Halifax OfficeThis is more than just a job - it''s a chance to grow, develop, and be part of something great.What are the core responsibilities?Support the delivery of the motor strategy by managing and evolving underwriting risk appetite.Identify emerging risks and collaborate on underwriting solutions to address opportunities and threats.Analyse portfolio profitability and take action to ensure performance meets or exceeds the target COR.Oversee and optimise the motor underwriting footprint in line with strategic goals.Evaluate deals and performance areas, making underwriting decisions that align with risk appetite and return requirements.Collaborate effectively with technical teams such as Pricing, Trading, and Claims to support informed decision-making.What will help you stand out?Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively across Personal Lines, communicate openly, and foster respectful, constructive dialogue.Adaptability and Engagement: Embrace and drive change to enhance team engagement and business outcomes.Initiative and Problem-Solving: Be self-motivated, proactive, and solution-focused with a confident approach to underwriting decisions.Organisation and Relationships: Demonstrate strong planning skills and build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Leadership and Experience: Lead by example, motivate others, and bring senior-level experience in managing underwriters and stakeholder relationships.Technical Expertise and Qualifications: Possess advanced knowledge of UK motor insurance and underwriting, with FCII or ACII qualifications and A-Level education or equivalent.Not sure if you tick every box?
