About the Role

Office Angels South West London are looking for a highly skilled and self-sufficient Accountant to join our clients finance team during a particularly busy period. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will be expected to hit the ground running from day one, taking full ownership of core accounting functions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes.

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments accurately and on time.

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all ledgers are maintained to a high standard.

- Produce management accounts and detailed financial reports for senior review.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant financial regulations.

- Liaise with auditors, preparing and providing all necessary documentation.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

About You

- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).

- Minimum of 2 years'' recent accounting experience (more is highly desirable).

- Proven ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal oversight.

- Strong technical accounting skills with in-depth month-end close experience.

- Advanced Excel skills; experience with systems such as Sage, Xero, or Oracle is advantageous.

- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise under pressure.

- A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach.

- Immediate availability or a very short notice period.

- Rate: -20.00 - -25.55 per hour (depending on experience)
