The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated and creative English Teacher to take on a full-time, long-term supply role at a thriving secondary school in Harborne starting September 2025. The role:

• Teach English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that promote a love of reading and writing

• Full-time, long-term supply role from September 2025

• Work as part of a collaborative English department

• Responsible for planning, marking and assessments in line with school policies

Requirements

The successful Science Teacher will have;

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Previous experience teaching English in UK secondary schools

• Effective classroom management skills

• A commitment to raising standards and inspiring students

• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
