The Role
Our client is currently looking for a Junior / Assistant Planner to join their London office. They would be open to hiring someone who is an Engineer but is looking to make a change in their career and become a planner. Working closely with and learning directly from their Planning Director, you''ll gain hands-on experience in project controls, planning, and scheduling across a variety of critical sectors. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their career in project planning while working on challenging, large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules using industry-standard planning software.
- Assist in analysing project progress, identifying risks and delays, and providing recommendations.
- Work alongside senior planners and project managers to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of schedules and deliverables.
- Learn and apply best practices in planning and project controls within highly regulated environments.
Skills & Experience Required
- Some knowledge or experience in project planning, project controls, or related fields (internships or graduate-level experience considered).
- Familiarity with planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- An eagerness to learn and develop within a structured and supportive environment.
