Job Title: Transport PlannerLocation: Malton, North YorkshireSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum + BenefitsWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned business with strong roots in rural communities across the North of England.Operating a multi-site retail and distribution network, our client has built a reputation for reliability, long-standing customer relationships, and a practical, down-to-earth approach.Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their logistics team based in Moulton.The RoleThis is a key operational position responsible for the day-to-day planning of vehicles and drivers, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with UK transport regulations.Planning and scheduling multi-drop deliveries across the regionMaximising vehicle utilisation and route efficiencyLiaising with drivers, warehouse teams, and site managersMonitoring driver hours, tachograph, and WTD complianceCoordinating vehicle maintenance and defect reportingManaging last-minute operational changes effectivelySupporting continuous improvement within the transport functionExperiencePrevious experience in transport planning or logistics coordinationStrong understanding of UK driver hours and compliance regulationsHighly organised with strong problem-solving abilityConfident communicator who works well under pressureExperience within retail, agricultural, or regional distribution environments ..... full job details .....
