This is a fully office-based role, with opportunities to visit project sites and collaborate closely with the Project Lead and Workshop Team, ensuring designs are executed in the most practical and efficient way possible.Key Benefits Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pmSalary - £40k to £45k8% Employer Pension Contribution21 days + 8 bank holidays Annual LeaveComprehensive Medical InsuranceProfessional Development Support Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, from concept through to production and installation (cradle to grave) and implement feedback in next designsPerform detailed hand calculations (e.g. stress analysis, bolted/welded joint assessments, load calculations).Produce and review detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD 3D preferred; Inventor experience also considered).Collaborate with the fabrication and workshop teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to welding/fabrication standards.Apply relevant British and international design standards and calculationsProvide technical support to project managers, fabricators, and site teams.Ensure compliance with all internal quality, safety, and environmental standards.
