English Teacher Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 studentsAdapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficultiesCreate an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that supports literacy developmentAssess student progress and provide tailored support to help them achieve their full potentialWork collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to support student learningFoster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

English Teacher Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExperience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally within an SEN settingStrong behaviour management skills and a flexible, patient approachAbility to create accessible and engaging learning experiencesA commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all students
