We have a new opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work with our client in the nuclear industry. SC Security Clearance is required for this role. The Sellafield Project (SPRS) will provide a facility that receives Special Nuclear Material (SNM) from existing stores across the Sellafield site and processes it into a form suitable for safe and secure storage until 2120. The project is currently in the execution phase which incorporates procurement, design, manufacture, works test, installation, and commissioning. This role is required to provide both design support activities to the supply chain, along with completion of outstanding design scope from earlier project phases. Furthermore, the role will include overseeing implementation of formal Design Change. The successful Candidate will report to the group Lead or his deputy and work within a team delivering design solutions for mechanical plant and equipment both within glove box environment and supporting auxiliary equipment external to glove box. Delivery of outstanding work packages and support to manufacturing and testing queries/design changes including configuration management. For assigned work packages produce engineering design deliverables (specification, drawing, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering) that satisfy the legal and functional requirements along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality.
