Carmichael are seeking an Engineering Manager to join the team to work on a project based in Teesside. What you''ll be doing •Supporting the Engineering Manager and Pre-Construction Managers to provide input to the overall design strategy and workload management. •Supporting the delivery teams, verifying the work of others in a timely and efficient manner, and providing expert technical support. •Providing integration planning of Methods, Permanent and Temporary works with multi-disciplinary project delivery teams. •Ensuring design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments. Communicate residual design risks to others. •Leading design assurance on projects through conducting regular review meetings with project teams, identifying best practice, areas for improvement and areas of concern. •Developing and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers. •Promoting the development of BIM within the design process. •Supporting the Engineering Manager, in ensuring that learning and best practice is shared across the business stream and the business as a whole. •Maintaining personal expertise and knowledge to ensure than Project Engineering is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards. •Carrying out technical audits in the office and site and ensure all actions are closed out. •Conform to designer obligations of the Construction (Design and Management) regulations.
