Civil / M&E Site Managers - SW

Site Manager (MandE or Civil)
Multiple locations: Scotland
Turner Lovell are recruiting for a number of experienced Site Managers (across MandE and Civil roles) to join a £1billion + turnover EPC Contractor in the electricity and renewable energy sector. Having secured multi-year framework agreements, they are now expanding the team to deliver turnkey HV substation projects ranging from £20m to £150m across the UK.
Our client is looking for an experienced Civil and MandE Site Managers to join their Electricity Transmission team where they design and commission HV substations up to 400 kV.
Your Key responsibilities will include:
Lead daily SHEQ activities for site teams and subcontractors
Investigate and report incidents in line with internal and client procedures
Develop and maintain project documentation, including Construction Phase Plans, Quality Plans, and Emergency Plans
Review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Work Instructions
Provide technical input and productivity guidance during tendering stages
Collaborate with design teams on construction-related technical matters
Coordinate material requirements with the procurement team
Manage site supervisory staff and brief them on roles and responsibilities
Plan and allocate resources (labour, plant, materials) to meet project timelines
Track progress and report updates to the Project Manager and Planner
Oversee subcontractor activities, including civils, scaffolding, and site security
Support reporting staff with timesheets, expenses, and documentation
Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
Liaise with Wayleaves teams to facilitate site access and activities
Manage site-specific safety documentation, including permits and certificates
Chair weekly coordination meetings with site teams and subcontractors
What We''re Looking For:
Strong background in electricity transmission, particularly OHL projects (132kV-400kV)
Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation
Ability to manage budgets and work to programme deadlines
Excellent team collaboration skills across disciplines and stakeholders
Relevant qualifications such as TWC, NEBOSH Construction, HSG47, and Environmental certifications ()
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away as required
