Responsibilities
Management accounting and month-end close:
Manage the financial reporting process for all five group entities; take responsibility for the monthly reporting accounting entries, financial statement production and consolidation of group accounts; production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for all divisional entities within the group including PandL, balance sheet and cashflow reporting; ensure all reporting is in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102 reporting requirements; enhance and improve the management reporting process – development of existing and new reports in support of senior management and key decision making; variance analysis reporting against prior year and budget; support year end Audit process where applicable.
Ongoing cash management:
Oversee daily management of cash balances across all entities and currencies (GBP, USD and EUR), including weekly cash balance reporting and movements reconciliation; operational cash requirements forecasting; preparing payments for execution through our online banking platforms (Lloyds, Barclays and Revolut).
Accounts Payable:
Responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices – including the Mercore Compliance team of c.120 independent contractors.
Accounts Receivable:
Ensure clear visibility of outstanding amounts receivable and timely collection of balances; sending reminders for overdue amounts where necessary.
Payroll:
Process monthly payroll across the two statutory employers within the group. Responsibilities including: ensuring timely payment of all employees; management of statutory pension obligations (NEST); payment of “out-of-pocket” expenses when required.
Qualifications
Part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent), or QBE
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
Management accounting, AP/AR and payroll experience
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
Self-starter, comfortable undertaking a wide range of new tasks and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
