ROLE: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
HOURS: 10:00-18:00 Monday - Friday
SALARY: £44,553.60 plus £1040.04 shift allowance and excellent benefits

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at S&S Plastics. This role is critical to ensuring our machinery and equipment operate efficiently and reliably to support our production goals.

WHAT OUR MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS DO:

• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and carry out effective repairs
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment
• Support the achievement of the production plan by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability
• Respond to electrical installations and/or mechanical installation work
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Communicate with contractors and issuing of work permits
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol/procedure

• Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing or plastics environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings for all machinery
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
