You will assist with group consolidation to support internal and external reporting, including monthly management accounts, quarterly and annual group accounts, lender reporting, and other ad-hoc reports. You will report to the Head of External Reporting and have one direct report.This is an 18-month FTC (maternity cover), based in our Central London office, with a hybrid work pattern of 2-3 days onsite per week.What will you be doing?Producing IFRS consolidated results for monthly management accounts and quarterly financial statements.Supporting reporting projects, such as producing glossy accounts.Assessing revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and supporting new acquisitions.Assisting with MandA accounting activities and onboarding acquisitions.Reviewing capex budgets and preparing group capex reports.Building relationships with key stakeholders including finance teams, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Corporate Finance.Year-end responsibilities:Managing the production of group annual statutory accounts.Supporting the implementation of new financial reporting software.Coordinating with finance teams for year-end pack submissions.Assisting with audits and resolving auditor queries.Ad-hoc activities:Producing accounting papers, such as revenue recognition under IFRS 15.Supporting MandA reporting activities.Maintaining process documentation.Handling internal reporting requests from various teams.Providing analysis to support strategic CFO objectives.What are we looking for?Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and UK Law.Experience with large multi-currency group consolidations.Experience with reporting tools like OneStream or HFM, and Unit4 or quick learner.Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP).Qualified accountant with 4-6 years PQE, preferably ACA/CA (SA).What do we offer in return?At Howden, we value diversity and look for individuals who share our values:Innovation and courage to try new things.Support for each other in daily and big challenges.Aiming to make a positive difference at work and beyond.Reasonable adjustmentsWe provide accommodations to align roles with your needs, including flexible hours and hybrid work.
