Job Description

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will act as the Responsible Person for all Environmental and Health and Safety matters across Ardent Data Centers, identifying and responding to current legal and best practice requirements at a global level. They will provide professional Environmental and health and safety leadership within Ardent Data Centers, at all levels of the business. They will set the strategic direction for effective management of all Environmental and Health and Safety requirements whilst delivering appropriate workplace wellbeing programmes for Ardent Data Centre employees. Work alongside and guide colleagues and vendors globally on how best to achieve EHS Excellence.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new, and upcoming Health and Safety legislation and ensure that Ardent Data Centers has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and other requirements.Identify and work to provide an effective health and safety related training regime across the business.Ensure compliance requirements are being controlled, documented, and maintained in accordance with local regulations and best practice guidelines.Oversee and undertake audits where appropriate and ensure an action plan using the SMART objectives format is established to address issues identified.Review and develop all aspects of Ardent Data Centers''s environmental, health and safety and wellbeing policies and activity, and ensure that it is implemented consistently across the organisation.Implement, monitor, and advise on strategic Environmental, Health and Safety Management systems, improving performance and delivering a positive culture across the organisation.Work proactively with managers and other key employees to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of environmental health, safety, and wellbeing within their areas of responsibility.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:Formal tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Health and Safety or Scientific disciplineIOSH or NEBOSH qualifiedExperience in completing Environmental and Health and Safety management audits and implementing comprehensive action plans to meet audit findingsRecent proven experience of working in a EHS role at a similar level and bringing about culture change within an organisationExperience in training, coaching, and mentoring to develop EHS knowledge and expertise across a growing businessA comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Environmental, Health, Safety, and risk managementAbility to interpret and provide authoritative advice on Environmental, Health and Safety and risk management issuesWHAT WE OFFER
