Assistant Site Manager

Our client, a well-established and respected civils and groundworks contractor in the North West, is seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with site experience who is eager to develop their career and take on more responsibility within a supportive and forward-thinking company.
The Role:
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of civils and groundworks projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and coordinating site activities and subcontractors
- Assisting with site inductions, health & safety checks, and quality control
- Supporting programme delivery and progress monitoring
- Ensuring compliance with company and client requirements
- Maintaining strong communication between the site team, office, and client representatives
About You:
We''re looking for someone proactive, organised, and with a keen eye for detail. Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in civils/groundworks (site engineering, foreman, or supervisory background advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of health & safety practices on site
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- CSCS card (essential), SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
