It supports pupils across a wide range of needs, including those with complex behavioural profiles and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN. You will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Implement personalised strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teachers to support learning and wellbeing.
- Help create a calm and structured learning environment, using de-escalation and restorative approaches.
- Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
What We''re Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEN and/or behavioural needs (school-based or other settings).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
