Job title: Finance DirectorLocation: BanburySalary range: £100,000 - £120,000Your role
Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and other financial performance indicatorsAssist in the development and timely delivery of monthly financial board reportsEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, through reporting and systemsEnsure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reportedOwnership of accounting policies, ensuring all financial reporting is in line with current accounting standardsLead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plansMonitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actionsCash Flow Management - optimizing working capital and liquidity to support operations and growth initiativesCreate monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecastsEnsure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and reporting requirementsCoordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for periodic audits and reviewsResponsibility for all areas of tax compliance including development of and adherence to robust processes and controls regarding corporation tax, PAYE/NIC and VATProvide strategic financial guidance and support to the executive team, helping to drive informed decision-making and overall business growthProvide financial expertise during mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, conducting due diligence and integrating financial systems and processesCommunicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders, including board members, investors, and senior managementYour background
Essential - previous experience in a similar leadership role within finance, with prior experience, or relatable experience, as a Finance DirectorDesirable - Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) but experience is keyExcellent Microsoft Excel knowledgeStrong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standardsStrong communicator and able to develop relationships with key external stakeholdersAble to mentor and develop a teamPossess a high attention to detail with ''big picture'' awareness
