Job Title: Payroll Supervisor Location: Harrogate Salary: £35,000 Contract: Full-Time, PermanentWorking Pattern: Office-based (flexibility for reduced or condensed hours considered)We re looking for an experienced and technically capable Payroll Supervisor to join a small, friendly team based in Harrogate. You ll be working alongside a Payroll Assistant and will take the lead on overseeing and processing payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will ideally bring prior experience from a bureau or client-facing payroll environment. Key Responsibilities Process a mix of weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 52 clients, ranging from 1 to 85 employees. Ensure accurate and timely submissions for PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and other statutory obligations. Utilise payroll software (BrightPay) and accounting systems (QuickBooks) for data input, reporting, and compliance. Provide excellent client service through accurate processing and effective communication. Liaise with directors and internal teams (accounting, audit, tax) as needed, with occasional administrative support tasks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices. What We re Looking For Strong hands-on experience in payroll processing (end-to-end). Experience in a client or bureau payroll setting is desirable.
