Are you creative with your menus, designing them to provide both staple, crowd-pleasing dishes whilst also challenging palates with the flavours of the world?Bradfield College is seeking an experienced Chef to join our in-house catering team, supporting the Executive Chef in the delivery of over 3000 meals per day, alongside extensive hospitality and events catering.Bradfield College Catering is regarded asone of the market leaders in terms of the quality, standard, and range of food we produce.As part of our in-house operation, you will have access to a variety of suppliers to continue the development of our menus, ensuring your creativity is not constrained.This is not school dinners. You will be working with a highly skilled brigade, many of whom bring experience from some of the UKs best hotels and hospitality venues.This is a key leadership role within the team, working closely with the Executive Chef and managing the brigade across two kitchens, supported by dedicated teams in each.Your responsibilities will include:Leading the daily operation of two kitchens and food production, delivering a typical combined service of 3000 covers per day (Breakfast 900, Lunch 1200, Dinner 900).Collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu planning and innovation.Managing the senior chefs in the College kitchens and guiding their personal development and that of the brigade.Overseeing hospitality and events catering during term time and across the school holidays, including weddings and residential conferences.Taking full responsibility for food safety throughout the College kitchens.Experience in a similar role is essential, with a strong background in high-end hotel and restaurant kitchens.
