Shifts: 4 on 4 off 19:00- 07:00
Pay Rate: £12.53

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding andamp; Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
We are looking for Transport Admin Clerks to join their team who will be dealing with ad hoc admin tasks and making and taking inbound / outbound calls from their driver fleet. You will be speaking to different people and resolving various queries each day, so you need to be able to think on your feet and deal with a varying workload each day.
This is an ongoing position which could lead to a permanent position for those that get on well!

What you''ll do on a typical day:

  • Completion of a mixture of administrative traffic duties, ensuring they are carried out to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • Handle a variety of admin and traffic-related tasks with accuracy and professionalism
  • Conduct driver debriefs to ensure smooth operations
  • Report any vehicle accidents promptly to your manager
  • Record vehicle defects and follow the proper process to get them resolved
  • Follow the correct procedure when dealing with damaged deliveries
  • Use IT systems like Microlise, Tachomaster, Trailermaster, and R2C effectively as part of your daily work
  • Communicate clearly with both colleagues and customers, including during driver debriefs and when handling issues
  • Follow all company Health andamp; Safety rules and raise any concerns with management
  • Take part in safety-related activities such as Care Cards, Bsafe, and Safety Conversations
  • Suggest improvements or share ideas that could help the team or business
  • Live by the company values in everything you do
  • Be open to taking on other reasonable tasks when needed
  • Always provide excellent customer service
  • Take part in training to support your own development and meet business needs


What you''ll need to succeed:

  • Be willing to work Bank holidays that fall on your 4 days in (except Christmas day)
  • Someone who has a willingness to learn
  • Excellent customer service skills and who can build relationships over the phone and face to face with our driver team
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Proficient in Outlook and Excel
  • An individual who can prioritise workload and manage this effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment and can handle themselves under pressure


Ideal Skills (not Mandatory):

  • Experience in a previous transport background
  • Someone who has previously dealt with Tachomaster
