All about the Role
The Revenues and Benefits service has a vital role in the billing and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates, and assessment of Benefits. We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Revenues and Benefits Senior Systems and Support Officer. You will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective systems provision and software applications in order to support the Revenues and Benefits teams in Shared Transactional Services. You will take a lead on the technical and complex aspects of the team and support the maintenance and control of the relevant computer systems used by the different teams within Revenues and Benefits. You will also be required to provide technical advice and guidance in respect of the collation of government and other statutory returns and identify developments in the system, usually from new releases, that could provide more efficient and effective service delivery.All about You
Experience working within a Revenues and Benefits department using the MRI One Revenues and Benefits system. Alternative relevant experience on otherequivalent revenues systems will be considered.Good understanding of the main rules and guidance within Revenues and Benefits.Ideally youwill also have experience and competency in the use of databases and methods of data extraction e.g. SQL, Access reports, using excel to manipulate and present statistical data to non-technical users.Ability to identify improvements in processes and provide new solutions to existing processes that improve efficiency and customer experience.All about our Benefits
