We are partnering with a leading international FS company who are seeking a

Senior Java Engineer

to join their London technology team. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent compensation and the chance to work on high-impact financial systems in a collaborative, forward-looking environment.

Salary:

Up to £110,000 basic + 15% pension

Design, build, and enhance

scalable, secure applications

for critical banking platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with

modern architectural patterns .

Contribute to both

server-side

and

front-end

capabilities to ensure seamless system integration.

Apply your experience in

testing and quality engineering

to drive robust and reliable solutions.

Qualifications

Industry background:

Experience within

Banking / Financial Services

or large-scale public sector organisations (e.g.,

HMRC, DWP ).

Availability:

Able to start within 1 month. No sponsorship is available for this role.

Career background:

Candidates with a strong

testing foundation

are highly desirable.

Technical skills:

Server-side engineering with

Java 11+

Strong SQL knowledge ( DB2, SQL Server, or Postgres )

Experience with

Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Design Patterns

UI development exposure with

React / Node.js , plus

HTML and CSS
