Architectural Assistant

Location: Cheshire

Salary: -25-29,000 DOE (Competitive based on the RIBA guidelines)

A creative and detail-oriented Architectural Assistant (RIBA Part 1 or Part 2) is sought to join a dynamic Cheshire-based practice. The studio delivers projects throughout the UK, with particular expertise in the retail, cinema and holiday resort sectors, as well as experience across leisure, commercial, industrial, office, and residential developments. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills within a collaborative studio environment, working on a diverse and exciting range of projects.

Applicants must already be eligible to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not provided, and must be located within Cheshire or nearby.

Daily duties encompass:

  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings and documentation using CAD and BIM software
  • Supporting design development across cinema, resort, leisure, commercial, and residential projects
  • Producing technical details and assisting with specifications
  • Helping prepare planning and building regulation applications
  • Conducting site visits and supporting project coordination
  • Producing visualisations, presentation materials, and design research

Ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Current RIBA Part 1 or Part 2 qualification
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
  • Awareness of UK building regulations and planning processes
  • Strong design and technical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly through drawings, visuals, and presentations
  • A team-focused approach with confidence to work independently when needed
  • Passion for architecture and enthusiasm to work across a broad mix of project sectors
