An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA Technician to join a leading food manufacturer, reporting directly to the Factory Technical Manager. This role plays a key part in ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance across a busy production environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCompile, issue, and train staff on process control records and quality standardsAttend trials and product launches to support technical requirementsAudit and monitor food safety, quality, and legality within the factoryConduct internal audits (systems, GMP, CCP)Investigate customer complaints and attend complaint review meetingsTroubleshoot and support Operations/Technical teams in resolving issuesMonitor hygiene, food safety, GMP, traceability, allergen management, legality, and quality standardsCarry out traceability and mass balance exercisesEnsure foreign body controls are in place and effectiveOrganise and attend QC panels, ensuring corrective actions are followed upCalibrate key equipment and perform swabbing (microbiological and allergen) as requiredMaintain GMP standards to ensure readiness for unannounced audits and customer visits Knowledge, Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a food manufacturing environment OR a degree in food scienceKnowledge of food safety standards (e.g., BRC), auditing, and HACCP desirableStrong attention to detail and excellent communication skills across all levelsOrganisational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesIT literacy ..... full job details .....
