Multi-Skilled Engineer


Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a fresh challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Our client is a leading packaging company based in Telford, seeking a hands-on engineer to join their dynamic maintenance team. This role offers a mix of electrical and mechanical responsibilities, supporting production through preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime
• Support continuous improvement projects
• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations
• Participate in a 3-week rotating on-call schedule (Monday to Wednesday, up to 11pm)

• Proven experience in a similar electro-mechanical maintenance role, ideally in manufacturing or packaging
• Strong electrical diagnostics and fault-finding skills, plc knowledge advantageous.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition desirable)

• Competitive salary up to -50,000 DOE
• 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.00pm-Friday (42hr week)
