Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role will act as the number two within the department and will support the delivery of an efficient, cost-effective and strategic procurement function.This position would suit a commercially aware Buyer / Procurement Officer / Senior Buyer with experience purchasing components, materials and parts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:End-to-end procurement of parts, components and materialsStrategic and operational purchasing to support production and MRP schedulesSupplier sourcing, onboarding and supplier relationship management (SRM)Price negotiation, cost analysis and cost reduction initiativesRaising and expediting purchase orders (POs)Inventory control and stock level optimisationSupporting supply chain management activitiesManaging import and export documentation, customs compliance and IncotermsLiaising with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providersMonitoring supplier performance, OTIF and KPI reportingSupporting forecasting, planning and demand managementExperience Required:Proven experience as a Buyer / Procurement Officer / Supply Chain BuyerBackground in manufacturing, engineering or industrial environmentsExperience purchasing ..... full job details .....
