Transport Supervisor-

Pay Rate: -15.92 per hour
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Duration: Until November, with potential to continue
Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 03:30am. Planned 8-hour shifts with overtime available when required.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation based in- Measham.-
This role would suit someone with a strong transport background, ideally with experience managing home delivery operations and Class 2 driver fleets. You will be supporting the Transport Manager in overseeing daily transport activities and ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Transport Manager with the day-to-day transport operation
• Conduct daily driver pre-briefs
• Manage driver queries and issues, including compliance, vehicle checks, uniforms and vehicle standards
• Monitor and report any non-compliance issues
• Liaise with drivers, maintenance providers and breakdown recovery companies
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and recorded
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, compliance and service delivery
• Coordinate and support a fleet of 40+ drivers during busy morning dispatch periods

Requirements:

• Previous Transport Supervisor experience
• Knowledge of driver hours and transport regulations
• Experience managing a fleet operation in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and proactively
• Approachable, flexible and driven attitude

This is a hands-on role that will involve working across the office, warehouse and yard, ensuring drivers are dispatched efficiently and operations run smoothly each day.
