My client''s AI agent turns raw videos into professional presentations. It helps entrepreneurs and content creators produce professional videos with just one click, by handling everything from background noise removal to automated captioning and unique background music composition, just like a human video editor would. Founded in August 2023, they''re a fast-growing company with a small team of less than 10 people. They have recently raised their Seed round and are expanding to reach customers worldwide.If youre into building a cutting-edge AI agent for video, this is the right place for you!About the RoleAs a Senior Engineer, your expertise and autonomy will be pivotal in driving projects to success. With your extensive experience, you''ll make decisions even with limited time and guidance from product owners. You will be totally trusted to lead with confidence and tackle challenges independently, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed expectations. Your ability to navigate complex scenarios and offer innovative solutions will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company. If you see yourself as a mere executor, waiting to be given step-by-step instructions, you''ll hate working with them. If you love taking ownership and building, you will thrive.ResponsibilitiesYou''ll focus on the node.js and video elements of the platform. If you are also a dab hand in the UI, even better, but you can add most immediate value on the backend.You will have sole ownership of projects that span months, requiring you to have the ability to break a problem down into small steps that can be delivered and validated iteratively.You will work with a small, friendly team of engineers and founding members with a flat management structure. You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the product.You will focus on the long-term scalability of the platform, designing and implementing engineering solutions and features that can handle increased demand while staying ahead of the latest trends in AI.Required SkillsDeep backend software development expertise with NodeJS.You have a good knowledge of deploying high-availability applications on Docker and Kubernetes.Experience working with video in some capacity, live or not, isn''t key. Any experience with something like ffmpeg, webrtc, WebGL or HLS would be great.You have worked with a startup or scale-up before, and know how to navigate ambiguity.You have a good understanding of testing software and different testing methodologies (unit, integration and e2e). You understand how to create quality products.Youre an excellent communicator, you know how to work transparently, and youre able to work well asynchronously.You enjoy shipping regularly and making a positive impact.Preferred SkillsPrior experience working on a video editing or video-related product.Ideally, you would be enthusiastic about using tools such as Copilot, WindSurf or Cursor to move quickly.Prior experience in training and deploying LLMs and other AI models.You have some experience working with LLM APIs (such as OpenAI, Claude or Llama) and other AI models.This startup has a really promising growth trajectory, and what they have already built is incredible.
