For our Data Centre Segment regional Sales team we are looking for a Senior Data Centre Systems Design Engineer.

In this role, you will provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative electrical solutions.

Location: hybrid working solutions are available for Greater London area.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of LV, MV, UPS, energy storage and other applicable Data Centre electrical systems and solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DandB, engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure the successful implementation of electrical projects.Conduct detailed technical analyses and provide recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in electrical design.Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical design and implementation.Working with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements and building codes.Defining project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.Assist in developing, managing and maintaining the Consultants and Clients CPD Programme with regular, consistent engagementDrive innovation and push boundaries in Eatons Data Centres design offering by staying up-to-date with the latest research, industry trends and technologies.This an external facing role and the candidate will be representing Eaton as an Industry solutions expert. The person needs to develop trusted and influential relationships with Clients, Consultants, Partners and Industry peers.Contribute and Support marketing campaigns and activities that can promote Eaton to Client relations and businessAbility to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.Traveling to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master''s degree is preferred.Minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and development.Strong technical background in electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and automation.Excellent understanding of the European Electrical Codes coupled with detailed understanding of critical LV and MV electrical equipment industry standards and regulations.Proven track record of solving complex technical challenges and driving innovation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to think strategically and drive long-term innovation.Advanced qualification in project management is a plus.
