We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Engineer – Inspections for our highway structures function. You will inspect and manage the Council’s Highway Structures stock, and work with supply chain partners to identify, instruct, and supervise reactive maintenance works on highway structures.

Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake and complete general and principal inspections of highway structures assets.

Instruct and supervise reactive maintenance works.

Manage customer enquiries and associated interactions.

Assist with defending public liability insurance claims and processing third party damage claims.

About YouIdeally you will have experience of working in the highway industry together with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

Enjoy working outdoors and liaising with third parties and contractor crews to deliver a high-class service.
