OverviewExecutive Director of Strategy, Policy and Analysis role at The Pensions Regulator (TPR). This is a senior leadership position reporting to the Chief Executive and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and board. The role leads the Strategy, Policy and Analysis (SPA) directorate and contributes to the leadership of the organisation, shaping regulatory policy and engaging with external stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for savers.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the SPA directorate, aligning strategy, policy, external risk and analysis to evolve the regulatory framework.

Represent TPR externally, influencing the pensions and regulatory landscape through thought leadership and engagement with industry and government.

Collaborate with the executive team to drive strategic priorities and transformational change in service delivery for savers.

Build cohesive, high-performing teams of experts and win credibility with key stakeholders at TPR, government and the pensions industry.

Lead and contribute to strategic influence, policy development and delivery, ensuring alignment with the pensions reform programme.

Champion a culture aligned with TPR values, and promote flexible approaches and co-design of regulation with industry in savers’ interests.

Engage with industry and government on regulatory development and reform, and serve as a visible leader within the organisation.

Qualifications

Significant strategy and policy experience at senior level within a complex organisation with wide reach and impact.

Proven ability to engage at board level and lead cohesive, high-performing teams of experts.

Experience spanning strategic influence, policy development and delivery, with credibility across TPR, government and the pensions industry.

Experience of leading transformational change and delivering outcomes through collaborative leadership and stakeholder management.

Strong alignment with TPR values and the ability to drive a culture that supports innovation in savers’ interests.

starting around £160,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

Location:

Brighton/hybrid (8 days per month in the office)
