Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Healthcare Build (Refurbishment & Fast-Track Fit Out)

Salary: -70,000 - -75,000 + Excellent Package

Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a -20 million major healthcare project in Cheshire. The project involves a blend of refurbishment, RAAC mitigation, and fast-track fit out works, requiring attention to detail, pace, and proactive commercial management. You will be involved from pre-construction through to final accounts, working closely with operational teams, supply chain partners, and the client to ensure financial success and contractual compliance throughout.

• Managing the full commercial lifecycle of the project from procurement to final account.

• Preparing and reviewing tender documentation and subcontractor packages.

• Monitoring project costs, budgets, variations, and valuations.

• Managing subcontractor payments, applications, and disputes.

• Liaising with the client and internal stakeholders to report on commercial performance.

• Producing accurate cost forecasts and identifying value engineering opportunities.

• Contributing to risk management and mitigation strategies.

• Supporting junior QS staff where appropriate.

• Ensuring full compliance with contract conditions and company procedures.

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS in the healthcare, commercial, or public sector build environment.

• Strong knowledge of groundworks, new build, and refurbishment methodologies.

• A solid understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• A professional network including national and regional housebuilders is highly advantageous.

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
