Applications Engineer Location: Midlands-based (Nationwide Role)Job Type: Full-time, PermanentA well-established machine tool supplier is seeking an apprentice-trained Applications Engineer (or CNC Programmer / Machinist) to join its experienced field-based training and applications engineering team.This role would suit someone from within the machine tool or precision engineering sector who enjoys customer interaction, technical problem-solving, and hands-on machine work. Experience across turning and milling is highly desirable.The RoleWorking nationwide, you will support customers across a broad range of CNC machine tools, delivering training, applications support, and technical guidance both pre- and post-sale.Key responsibilities include:Training customers on the use of CNC machine toolsSupporting customers to maximise machine capability and performanceDemonstrating machines pre- and post-saleTroubleshooting and resolving technical issuesProviding technical support to customers and internal teamsFeeding back technical issues and best-practice improvementsRecommending process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costsCandidate RequirementsCompleted a minimum 4-year engineering apprenticeshipStrong background in CNC programming and machiningComfortable working hands-on with machine toolsExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsExperience with turning and milling machines preferredExposure to ProtoTRAK and/or Siemens controls beneficial (training ..... full job details .....
