We are looking for a Group Projects and Engineering Manager to oversee major above-ground project activities in Gabon. In this capacity, you will be responsible for ensuring project success from concept to execution, providing technical expertise, and aligning projects with business objectives.Responsibilities

Develop project business cases and evaluate options to meet requirementsEnsure appropriate engineering work is completed for AFE reviewsReview and approve detailed design requirements, engineering deliverables, and schedulesOversee subcontracted engineering scopes to ensure complianceImplement effective and integrated project execution strategiesWork closely with the project management and engineering teams in the subsidiaries and ensure proper execution of the job within the specified scopeIdentify and address potential project risks affecting cost and scheduleSupport corporate activities such as insurance processes, abandonment costs, and performance reviewsManage engineering activities to support Assala Energy yearly corporate activities (insurances process, abandonment costs, business performance review,)Leverage technical expertise to support pre-project planning and new business initiativesDevelop and oversee Opex/Capex project plans to achieve long-term business goals, implementing tools to track subsidiary project performance and drive improvementsEnsure technical assurance for all Gabon surface projects, covering budget, planning, and resource allocationLead the management of Assala''s GHG database and implement advanced field monitoring technologies for fugitive emissions detection and leak repairServe as the technical authority for Assala''s Asset Integrity and Pipeline Management, guiding both short- and long-term strategiesUphold Assala Group''s process safety and project management policies, ensuring compliance and best practicesQualifications

Master''s degree in Mechanical EngineeringChartered Engineer qualification15+ years of experience in Process/Petrochemicals and onshore/offshore oil and gas sectorsExpertise in technical management for large-scale projects, asset operations, integrity management, process safety, commissioning and decommissioningExceptional written and verbal communication skills in EnglishProficiency in French is a plusStrong technical background in engineering and project managementProven leadership skillsAbility to identify and address project risks and issuesCapability to develop and implement long-term business strategiesUnderstanding of process safety and project management policiesSeniority level
