Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Birmingham (Mobile Role Across Midlands and Secure Sites) Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Structured Overtime Contract Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP The Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer for a permanent mobile role working across secure sites, including multiple UK prisons. This is a key role within a well-established Facilities Management team, offering long-term stability and excellent earning potential. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Operations and will carry out maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding tasks on commercial gas and oil-fired heating and ventilation systems within secure, regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas and oil-fired heating systems Working on secure sites, including prisons, adhering to all security protocols Use of CAFM systems to log tasks and update progress Compliance with relevant Health and Safety and statutory regulations Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota Supporting the wider MandE team when required Requirements Essential: Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (in date) Proven experience working on commercial heating and ventilation systems Comfortable working in prison environments Full UK driving licence Familiarity with tablet-based CAFM systems Must be eligible for or hold CTC clearance Desirable: OFTEC certification ..... full job details .....
