Under the guidance and supervision of the Security Supervisor the purpose of the Security Officer will be to apply Security and Safety measures which will include the wellbeing of the guests, associates and Company assets, according to the agreed Policies of the company and the procedures and objectives as set out by the Security Supervisor.Work Hour and Schedule

shift (07:00-19:00 or 19:00-07:00)Operates on a

Brief Responsibilities

Monitor the Security Control Room and CCTV system, ensuring data protection compliance and equipment functionality.Conduct regular patrols to identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, or potential risks to guests, staff, and property.Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, following hotel safety protocols and completing accurate reports.Manage access control, key handling procedures, and support secure movement of cash within the hotel.Investigate thefts, criminal offences, and alarm activations; record and escalate findings appropriately.Enforce hotel procedures, including bag checks and the Pass Out and Property on Loan policies.Liaise with external authorities such as police and emergency services when required.Handle lost property in accordance with hotel policy, ensuring accurate documentation and secure storage.Maintain detailed daily security logs and ensure professional written handovers at the end of each shift.Represent Dorsett Hospitality with professionalism, supporting a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.
