English Teacher (ECT)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills

• Use data effectively to monitor progress and ensure high attainment

• Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities, and department events

• Participate fully in school life, including CPD sessions, faculty meetings, and extracurricular activities

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working toward it

• Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for English literature and language

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional growth

• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
