Customs-Coordinator-Overview

Our-client-is-a-growing-logistics-and-freight-forwarder-specialising-in-temperature-controlled-supply-chains-and-perishable-logistics.-With-a-strong-international-position-within-the-fruit-and-fresh-produce-supply-chain,-the-business-is-currently-expanding-its-operations-across-the-United-Kingdom-and-Europe.

As-an-experienced-customs-specialist,-you-will-be-responsible-for-managing-UK-customs-processes-across-the-perishable-supply-chain,-ensuring-the-correct,-efficient,-and-compliant-handling-of-import-and-export-shipments,-particularly-within-the-fruit-and-fresh-produce-sector.

This-role-requires-someone-who-can-hit-the-ground-running,-work-collaboratively-with-operations-teams,-and-bring-valuable-knowledge-and-ideas-to-support-the-wider-logistics-operation.

Customs-Coordinator-Key-Responsibilities

• Independently-handle-import-and-export-customs-clearances
• Complete-customs-declarations-using-Custrans-software-(training-provided)
• Manage-sea-freight-import-customs-processes-and-support-export-entries-where-required
• Prepare,-review-and-submit-customs-documentation-and-declarations
• Ensure-full-compliance-with-UK-and-international-customs-regulations
• Coordinate-logistics-activities-within-the-perishable-supply-chain
• Liaise-with-internal-operations-teams,-freight-partners,-clients-and-regulatory-authorities
• Maintain-communication-with-customs-authorities,-logistics-partners-and-customers
• Contribute-ideas-and-operational-improvements-to-enhance-efficiency-across-the-business

Customs-Coordinator-Experience-Required

• Minimum-3-years''-experience-in-customs-clearance
• Strong-experience-handling-customs-entries-for-sea-freight-imports
• Exposure-to-export-shipments
• Previous-background-within-freight-forwarding
• Experience-working-with-DEFRA-and-IPAFFS
• Experience-within-perishable-logistics-or-fresh-produce-supply-chains-is-highly-desirable
• Excellent-attention-to-detail-and-compliance-awareness
• Ability-to-work-independently-and-manage-multiple-shipments
