Position: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Essex Salary: £15 per hour Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse operatives and forklift drivers Ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of orders Monitor the condition and quality of stock, especially perishable items like bananas and tropical fruit Conduct daily checks to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and maintaining accurate records Support new staff with onboarding and training Manage shift handovers and ensure smooth communication across teams Report operational issues, damages, or delays to the Warehouse Manager promptly Ensure the warehouse remains clean, safe, and organised at all times Support in implementing continuous improvement initiatives Requirements: Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader in a chilled, food, or FMCG environment Strong knowledge of stock handling, food hygiene and manual handling procedures Ability to lead by example and manage performance effectively Good understanding of health and safety regulations Excellent organizational and communication skills Benefits: Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience) Permanent role with opportunities for career progression Training and development provided Company-provided uniform and PPE Free on-site parking Supportive, team-oriented environment within a respected ..... full job details .....
