Key Responsibilities:

As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will:

Provide expert legal advice on Deputyship applications, health and welfare decisions, and other Court of Protection matters.

Draft detailed legal documents, including court applications, reports, and correspondence.

Represent clients in hearings before the Court of Protection.

Work collaboratively with medical professionals, local authorities, and family members to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable clients.

Advise clients on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and associated matters.

Ensure all matters are managed in compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and relevant Court of Protection rules.



About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

6-7 years PQE in Court of Protection law, with a proven track record in managing complex and high-value cases.

Deep knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the intricacies of Court of Protection proceedings.

Strong interpersonal and client care skills, with experience working closely with vulnerable clients and their families.

Excellent drafting, communication, and advocacy skills.

The ability to manage a demanding caseload and work effectively under pressure.
