Drive down debtor days by proactively managing a ledger of up to 450 client accountsManaging key stakeholders to ensure debt aging is minimised through credit risk monitoring and early query/ issue resolutionEnsuring that accounts are actioned in a prompt manner and within strict departmental and SRA guidelinesLiaising with Partners and Fee Earners to unblock any issues that could cause a delay in paymentAccurately maintaining client collection recordsPreparation of client statements and account history reconciliations for internal stakeholders and clients of the firmPreparing reports and data stories for partners and influence them into actionContinually look for opportunities to improve our processes so that we can become a more efficient and effective credit functionSkills/Experience
Experience of credit management in a professional services environment; previous legal experience would be beneficial but is not essentialYou are an exceptional communicator, with the ability to influence some very challenging stakeholders using a range of strategiesYou are analytical - we are a data-driven function and expect a high level of proficiency in this areaYou are a problem solver, can analyse the cause of the issue and take on initiatives to ensure those issues do not recurExcellent attention to detail - we don\''t make mistakesYou are a collaborator - you can work in partnership with colleagues in both finance and the fee earners to resolve issuesYou are comfortable taking charge of your own workload with minimum supervisionYou work with a smile on your facePlease note that this job profile is not an exhaustive list of duties but merely an outline of the key components of the role.
