Job Description

Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented individual to join our Corporate tax team in Tunbridge Wells. The purpose of your role will be to manage your own portfolio of clients, working with Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A significant part of the role will be business development of existing and new clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.

Client work; managing a portfolio of compliance cases as well as a portfolio of complex advisory cases whilst maintaining exceptional client serviceIdentifying opportunities on client portfolio and getting involved in business development activities / raising profile locallyStaff Management and developmentAppraisals/monitoring staff performanceOn the job training for junior staff on a one-to-one basisAble to take advantage of marketing/PR opportunitiesEnsuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevantPersonal Development (Technical and Other)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Significant corporate tax experience gained within the profession and/or industryTechnically capable tax adviser who is able to manage complex client workDemonstrable experience of managing people and clientsExisting business development skills and appetite to grow businessProject management experienceExperience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally

Professional Qualifications And Education

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent Key CompetenciesClient focus - ability to deliver consistently excellent client service.Commercial awareness - delivers value to client and team profitability.Teamwork - organises and supports others.Good communicator - both written and oral.Problem solving - positive attitude to solving problems and delivering outcomes.Enthusiastic and keen business developer.Excellent organisation skills.
