R&D Tax Credits Consultant - Senior Associate

A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You''ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You''ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You''ll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Tax Innovation and Capital Incentives (ICI) team based within our London tax team . The team is diverse and collaborative with a strong focus on growth and a wide range of clients across all industries including engineering, food and drink, manufacturing, financial services and IT and software development.
We advise businesses on HMRC incentives including Research and Development reliefs, Patent Box claims and Capital Allowances claims which are effective tools to reward their innovation and technological development. Our aim is top quality client experience deliver ed in a way that differentiates us from our competitors.
We operate as a local team (based mainly within offices in Central London and Watford) within a wider national network of ICI specialists , with hubs in key UK cities . Our team includes individuals with, for example, general tax, audit and industry backgrounds, all bringing different skills, qualities and perspectives to ensure that we are delivering an exceptional service to our clients. The role will be client facing from the outset and you will be typically expected to start building effective working relationships with your clients from day one including leading communications yourself.
What you days will look like:You will support and development of junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise through coaching and recognising the need for all levels of the team to develop through exposure to practical application of the legislationYou will take a leading role in managing the client relationship which can include managing deadlines, running parts of meetings, handling day to day queries and establishing your role as a trusted contactYou will be working directly to Managers and Senior Managers in the team to support them in managing client relationships and project deliveryYou will prepare formal reports to support the numerical claims for filing with HMRCPreparation of project technical summaries to illustrate the innovation undertaken by our clientsThis role is for you if:
You have a sound understanding of RandD regimes, with experience in preparing both SME and RDEC claimsLiaising with clients, and producing supporting documentation.Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with ability the ability to manage multiple clients and stakeholders in a collaborative and diverse environment.Strong analytical and excel skills would be beneficial in interpreting numerical data and compiling data.What you will receive from us:
